1. The Bruins have one of the longest droughts of not having won a Cup. The Red Sox had the longest drought in professional baseball history. Lawl.

2. If it weren't for his size, Chara wouldn't be in the NHL. He has the skill set equivalent of the Maple Leafs' Brett Lebda. Ouch. Four year old's could play in the NHL with that size and make just as smart plays. Also, Shaq was Kazaam.

3. Admittedly, the Red Sox and Yankees is the greatest rivalry in professional baseball, but so what? The Bruins-Candiens rivalry is hardly an international concern. Greater hockey rivalries include Red Wings-Blackhawks, Penguins-Capitals, Flyers-Rangers, etc. Most notable football rivalries include Green Bay-Chicago, Dallas-Washington, Denver-Oakland, Philadelphia-New York. If I give you Celtics- Lakers, that's two out of four sports.

4. Major Division I College Hockey teams in the state of Michigan far outnumber the state of Massachusetts. Michigan, Michigan State, Michigan Tech, Lake Superior State, Ferris State, Northern Michigan, Western Michigan. All relevant- when did Harvard last win a championship, 89 or something? Michigan has been to 21 straight NCAA tournaments. A record.

5. How is having one of the oldest buildings in sports a sign of your city's significance? The reason there aren't many old buildings around is because they don't meet the standards and demands of a growing and changing world.

6. That your fans show great passion at home is not at all surprising. A better measure of how great fans passion is is how well they travel on the road. Packers, Steelers, Bears, Lakers, Yankees, and Red Wings are some of the greatest traveling fan bases in the country. Watch a road game and you'll see some of those fans practically take over home teams stadiums.

7. The Minnesota Timberwolves released a video for Kevin Love's cologne in hopes of getting him into the All-Star game. There are much better advertising efforts and if your team was so great what would be the need for a state of the art marketing plan? People would just come. Of course, the Bruins need a tremendous marketing plan- they're fucking awful.

8. I hardly need to respond to 8. You undermined it all yourself right there. Take some famous examples of politicians actually knowing what they're talking about. Following Armando Galarraga's botched perfect-game, Governor Granholm issued a proclamation declaring the game was indeed perfect. That's not only passion, but knowledge as well.

As for 9 and 10, you must have ran out of ideas because that doesn't even make sense. You might not want to compile a list of 10 reasons why your city is the greatest sports town and not actually have 10 reasons.
